Description

You don’t have to have a great voice to be a great singer! Learn how to sing a song by learning the secrets of singing through your character voice. Some of the greatest stars on Broadway didn’t have great voices but they knew how to deliver a song. Learn how to analyze a character and then become that character when you sing. It’s fun, it’s acting and it’s what theater is all about – make-believe. Sing like a rock star, a country western singer, or a Broadway baby and do it with style and character.

Skills to be covered include:
  • Review of Voice objectives and principles
  • Learn how to interpret a songs lyrics and purpose
  • Learn how to create a character to sing a song.
  • Learn some of the tricks of stage presence and confidence
  • Prepare and perform songs that are tailor made for your type and personality.
On October 15th at 6:00, all classes will be performing 8-10 minutes to showcase a portion of what they learned.

*Registration closes August 26th
